And this is him !

<----

Reo Mikage (御み影かげ 玲れ王お Mikage Reo?) is one of the candidates for the Blue Lock Project, currently playing as a central midfielder for England's Manshine City during the Neo Egoist League.

Reo is the heir to the Mikage Corporation, with its total assets valued at around 705.8 billion yen or $5.3 billion USD. Before joining Blue Lock, he was a student at an elite high school, where he met his first long-time friend, Seishiro Nagi, who took up soccer shortly afterward due to Nagi's natural talent for the sport, and Reo's desire to go further in soccer. As a young man who has almost everything at his fingertips thanks to his father being the head of the Mikage Corporation, his only desire is to win the Soccer World Cup.

When he first arrived at Blue Lock, Reo was a member of Team V and arguably the second best player in his assigned stratum. He played as a centre-back for the Blue Lock Eleven against Japan U-20.

                                                       ー Reo's personality ー

is very charismatic, friendly, intelligent, and ambitious. He is shown to be quite an extrovert and is quite popular in high school, to the point of having dozens of admirers. Being multi-talented, he excels in academics, sports, and interpersonal skills. Due to his excellent performance as the heir to a multi-billion dollar company, Reo also displays business skills which he uses for his own purposes. Such as putting together his own soccer team in school in a matter of days by promising them a chance to meet cute idols or starting a food trading market in the Blue Lock cafeteria to increase his teammates' unity and gain their trust. Intelligence is a trait that stands out from him as he not only became the top student in his class, but also took on the role of Team V's strategist and was able to improvise new plans when faced with stronger opponents. Reo can be a bit selfish as he tends to put his own goals above all else, which resulted in him persuading Nagi, who was initially uninterested in soccer, to play with him.

Although he welcomes new challenges and experiences, he becomes very upset when things don't go his way, possibly due to his luxurious upbringing. In general, he seems to feel every emotion with full force and is very aware of his own faults and shortcomings, as evidenced by several instances of painful emotional breakdowns shown in the spin-off manga. Due to his high emotions, he can even become violent when he loses his temper, as seen when he elbows Jingo Raichi after being teased. Overall, Reo is a friendly and intelligent young man who knows what he wants in life and will pursue it until he is satisfied.

Despite having a very fortunate life, he finds it all boring because of how easy it is to get whatever he wants. So he decides to carve out a path where he must fight for what he wants and prove his existence. He finds satisfaction in playing soccer to win the coveted World Cup and will do whatever he can to win, such as paying and grooming a natural soccer prodigy like Nagi to go further in soccer.

Towards the end of the First Selection, Reo is confident that his team will win the match again, but when Team Z begins to close in on themselves and score on Team V, Reo becomes overly aggressive and frustrated at the situation he does not understand, even going so far as to foul someone. Reo seems at a loss for words when Team Z finally wins the match, and when Nagi decides to join Isagi's White Team at the start of the Second Selection. He stubbornly refuses to accept that the genius Nagi, his best friend for months and someone Reo considers his 'treasure', would choose to play with someone else over him. He spends the second half of the Second Selection focused on 'winning' Nagi back, only to lose the match when deciding who to pick from the other team, nearly losing Nagi as a result. After Reo gets through the hardships of the Second Selection, he lets go of his stubbornness and realizes his weaknesses. He vows to become stronger in order to stay close to the people who matter to him and go further in achieving his goal of winning the World Cup. After finally letting go of his possessive attachment to Nagi and finally realizing what he needs to do to become strong and stay with his friend, Reo vows to become the best attacker in the world who can dominate the field without needing anyone's help, alongside the top players in the Blue Lock. Reo is very serious about his football career, as he uses all available resources to learn and become as perfect as possible in football. He is careful and observant, analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of each player, and shows a very broad and tactical mind.
